"FALL DAY"

Even though we're a month into fall we finally got are fall decorations out:-) We also carved pumpkins. It doesn't look like fall outside, but it is getting cold enough to be fall. I do hope that we get the really pretty reds, yellows, oranges in the trees soon!

Outside -

There is barely any fall colors in the neighborhood :-(

The walk way in front of our house is mostly covered in pine straw!

It took me A VERY LONG time to find an orange, yellow, and red leaf!

Some Decorations -

My mom made both of these wreaths :-) Arn't they Gorgious?! :-)

I made this silk flower arrangement a couple of years ago in "Keepers of Home"
When Mrs. Mestas taught us about Fall decorations! Boy, That was awhile ago!

"Operation Pumpkin"-

Jason kept saying that the inside was COLD :-)

Pumpkin guts aren't the loveliest things in the world:-(

Jason decided to put "Simba"(from Lion king) on his pumpkin/ I did a musical theme, it was an easer patter, I didn't want to spend along time on mine:-)

He liked the cutting part:-)

The bowl of "Gross yucky stuff" after we were done:-)

The finished pumpkins -

It took us all afternoon to do them....well it took Jason all afternoon to do his..:-)

Silly Picture!!! lol

Awwww.... wow we actually look alike! SCARY!!!

They came out really good! They will look even better out on our steps!

Nothing much going on here. I had basketball practice this morning at 8am!! Not Fun!!!! Then I went to Jason's soccer game, and went shopping!!! "Yeah" for shopping! Especially for clothes!!!!................for me of course.:-)

We have had rain the last two days and we needed it in the middle of this awful drought!!!!!!! When you drive by the lake, and there is grass growing in the middle of it, you know it's bad:-)
It stopped raining today, which made Jason happy because of his soccer game.

I'm playing in a "Powder Puff Football Game" tomorrow with our homeschool group. It's gonna be alot of fun!! I'll post all about it with pictures tomorrow (hopefully):-)

That's about it for today. REMEMBER - I LIKE COMMENTS!!!!

I'm Happy!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!

My Volleyball team had a Tournament @ Wake Forest University in Winston Salem yesterday. And We won!!! Whoo Hoo!!!
This is the third year in a row we have taken home the 1st place trophy!!! We had to get up at 5:30am in order to leave by 6:30 so we could get there by 9am for a 10am game, so it took a while just to get there! and we of course had the first game!:-)
We were ranked 3rd going in the tournament, played the Fayettville Crusaders (who was ranked 2nd) for the first game and we creamed them!!:-) We then headed over to the other gym (other side of the hall way:-) to watch our Varsity play, they played awesome in the game but ended up loosing in the very close game. They got 4th in the Tournament over all. After that game we went to grab a bite to eat and headed back to the gym. We watched the game before ours which was the looser bracket. After that game we had the Championship game vs. Orange County Storm (ranked 1st.), we played AWESOME!! AND WON!!! (again:-) it was really sweet because we had lost to them in both games during the season, so it was really nice to beat them :-) WE headed over to the other gym again to catch the end of the Varsity game. Then we all just hung out and while the championship for the varsity tourney.
We ended up leaving around 7:30pm, got a bite to eat at Red Robin, and got home around 10pm. It was a very FULL day.

LET'S FLY!!!!
LET'S SOAR!!!!
LET'S GET DOWN LOW!!!
AND TOUCH THE FLOOR!!!

NC State Fair

We went to the fair yesterday and had a blast! It was kinda hot though, but that didn't stop us. :-) We got there around 12pm hit the gardens and the Village of Yesteryear (a big craft fair). Then daddy came and we went and ate:-) I had a chicken gyro, I've had this the last like 3 years. It's very yummy. And no I didn't eat any of the yucky fried stuff that's not supposed to be fried (Twinkies, candy bars, PB&J!....I'm to grossed out to continue) After we were all full we just walked around for a while, Jason played two games (spent $8 for a 7 inch stuff animal that you can get at the dollar store, yep that sounds like the fair!) Walked through all the buildings (art gallery, 4H building, another big building right next to the 4H building that I can't remember it's name:-) one of the barns) We had NC State ice cream, one of the best parts of the Fair! $4 for a humongous amount of ice cream that no one in our family could finish theirs! And it's REALLY GOOD ice cream. We also shot bebe guns at the Wildlife safety tent. I shot better than everyone in my family!!

Daddy always has to get a grilled corn on the cob.

Jason milking a cow (stinkin black bar!)

Eric pitching at the speed pitch.

In line for our ice cream ;-)

Me and Eric having fun:-)

Manda Panda liked Bamboo!! :-) lol

In front of a garden (I like the pot arch way in the back round) (I hate my face in this pic.!)

Getting ready to shoot the bebe guns, For some reason I didn't take off the safety glasses before the picture so I look really funny! lol

My Puppy Dog

I have a 2 year old Lab/German Shepherd. We got him when he was ten weeks old from a shelter in Lexington (about 2 1/2 hours away). Our dog before him, "Angel", was hit by a car on New Years Day a couple of years ago. About a year and a half later my parents Finally told me I could get a dog for my birthday (July 16) but I had to wait until we got home from vacation in the middle of August. I had been looking on Petfinder for Golden Retriever or Lab puppies up for adoption in the area. Finally we got home and about a week later I went got on to see if any more puppies were available. And I found a web page for H.E.A.R.T adoption in Lexington and they said that they had lab/Shepherd puppies available and that they were having a adoption day the next day(Sat. morning and it was late Friday night) So I went to my mom and I was like "Hey mom...want to take a road trip tomorrow???":-) And we did!!
And now we have my Doggy named "Ranger". He is a VERY HUGE dog! REALLY strong. My friends make jokes saying "Amanda's dog isn't a dog, it's a polar bear!" " I could ride him!" lol
But he's my puppy dog and I love him:-)

Ranger when we got him. He was such a cute puppy!! - Don't you agree?!?!

Look at those eyes!

His football was as big as his head!! lol

He thought he was the king of the house. (Our cat did not like that!)

Sarah and Ranger, I wish he could have stayed like that!!

Now-
He's still very cute!!

laying around

chewing on something that he's not supposed to have, a daily routine.

Volleyball

I had a volleyball game vs. Orange County Storm( another homeschool team)this afternoon. We were playing in Orange County so that was an hour and a half there and then an hour and a half back:-( We lost:-( :-( :-( It was a close game, they won the first match, we won the second match, but they ended up beating us in the third match,(you have to win 2 out of 3) but they only beat us in the third match by like 4 points.
I have a Volleyball Tournament all day on Saturday in Winston Salem (like 2 - 2 1/2 hours away) It's a homeschool tournament so we will be playing the storm again on Sat.
We have won the Tournament the last two years, and hopefully we will be going on three:-)
Today was our last season game and so the last thing is the Tourny, then the season is over:-)
I think I feel a tear coming on:-(

Well now I have to go to Biology homework for tomorow morning. Stinkin Lab reports!!
Nothing like waiting till the night before to do homework. But that's just the way I roll! :-)

Corn Maze

We went to "Ken's Korny Corn Maze" tonight with some other families and teens from Lighthouse. It was alot of fun.

The objective is to get through the maze as fast as you can, but there are these mailbox's through out the maze with letters (a stamp and ink) in them, and a card that you have to stamp the letters on to, so when you finish your card says KENS CORN MAZE.
You go in as group, doesn't matter the size. Each group has a flag that they have to hold up so that the workers can see where the groups are, and if something goes wrong you can wave the flag and someone will come and help you. They punch the time that you went into the maze and then punch the time that you finished the maze.

My group was Me, Ellie, Rachel, Kierra, and their friend( I can't remember her name!) It was ALOT of fun!! We had the fastest time out of all the groups from lighthouse, at 1 hour and 1 min (1:01)!! YEAH US!! Jason and my dad's group came close behind at 1:02!! HAHAH stinks for them!! most of the other groups were at the 1:20ish time.
It was cold but not freezing, as in I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and was fine.
Actually got a little hot from running around the maze! We went to McDonald's afterward with some of the families and got some ice cream or something to eat. We got home around 11:30ish (pm)

Ellie came over for a little while before going to the maze. So we spent the time stamping!!
I made two cards. One I really like and the other one I didn't like as much. But was pretty happy with them over all. Ellie made one card that came out really cute. She attempted to make a second card but well let's just say that she took her anger out on it in the end:-) But we had fun making them. I'll try to take pics. of them to post.

I have church tomorrow, then just hanging around. Alex and Sarah go back to collage tomorrow afternoon. Gonna have to clean my room after Sarah leaves. :-( that makes me sad:-(
I also have to start my Biology homework tomorrow, so it will be done by Tuesday morning for class:-( Yuck!

Better picture for Ellie

Ellie was mad about the pictures I put up with her and Emily. So she took me off her blog links on her blog. So she told me to put up better pictures of her and she gave me PERMISSION to put the pictures of the pyramid we made at my birthday party like 3 years ago:-) Ellie, you said I could!

Middle:Paige, Ellie :-)
Bottom: Kayla, Me, Hannah

stinkin Napkiins

Why can you use a white napkin on a purple shirt but you can't use a puprle napkin on a white shirt!! i.e. -my white shirt has a purple stain, so I doesn't my purple shirt have a white stain!?!?!?!

cleaning???

So Sarah comes home tonight and Alex comes home tomorrow morning. And that means CLEANING! at least for me and my room. I must say my room was really really super bad :-) But after spending three hours in it yesterday. It's only really bad.:-) I have had my room super super super duper clean and organized only like once in the last couple of months:-(
I hate cleaning!! Why couldn't something just stay clean, with out having to clean it! :-) I don't mind cleaning when it's just vacuuming and dusting, but my room was WAY beyond that. That's what I have to do today, vacuum and dust, and o ya, change the sheets on her bed!
I can usually keep my room clean after cleaning it for a while unless Sarah comes home, someone comes over, I can't figure out what to wear! :-), or I am behind on laundry! So I clean my room now but it will be messy again when Sarah leaves!! But if I didn't clean it than it would be twice as messy when she leaves! And frankly I would sleep in the living room if that happened:-)

To all the clean freaks out there..........you confuse me!!!
