Bow and Arrows!!!!

Jason got a Bow and Arrow set for Christmas, so today we finally got some bales of hay to shoot at. It's pretty fun, well at least when it hits the actual bale. :-)
I am actually not that bad at it! I have shot before at camp and friends houses, so I had already had some practice. I am the only one so far to actually hit the target! :-)lol Jason has a little bit of trouble pulling back the bow with the arrow on it. He says he's afraid that it's going to snap back and hit his hand....which is no where near where the bow goes. So we might have to get an easier/kids one for him.

My team had a basketball game today in Sanford, which is like "forever far away!"lol
about 1-1 1/2 hours away. I still can't play because of my foot but I went to cheer on my team:-)The Varsity Boys played after us so dad and Eric drove up also. The girls team won and the boys team lost. But the boys "played" more like they were in a pick up game or in a scrimmage. It was kind of a non event for them and kind of for the girls as well. But it was more competitive for us. :-)
I have gotten to know a lot of people threw lighthouse basketball through out the years:-) This is my first year playing with Lighthouse but Eric and Sarah have/are played(ing) and Dad has coached for years. I'm not a big fan on playing basketball but I do like the socializing part!!lol

SNOW!

It snowed here yesterday!!
They said it was going to snow any where form 2-4 inches here, but the storm went east of us and we only got 1/4 of an inch(a light dusting). That's a start at least, a little now, maybe a lot later??? you never know! I was happy to see at least some snow even if it was so little. Though when it does snow alot it tends to keep us stuck at home and that can get boring really quickly. O well we havn't had a real big snow in acouple years. Aparently Irving Berlin wasn't talking about North Carolina when he wrote the words "in a wintery wonderland.."

Hair Cut

So I got a hair cut on Wednesday night. I told the lady to only cut of three inches,to get off the split/damaged ends. We she cut of 5-6 inches. Lets just say I was not happy after we left the hair salon. I'm not a big fan of short hair(on me), especially since me hair is curly, she cut it while my hair was wet so when it dried it went even shorter since my hair is so curly.So now when my hair is curly it sits on top of my shoulders, and when I straighten it, it goes about 2 inches past.
It's just taking me a while to get used to it/like it.:-( I also got side bangs, which is first for me, the whole hair in the face thing can get annoying at times:-)
I do like it better straight right now just because it makes it longer.

basketball life

Still trying to get caught up from December but here is a post about recent activities. Eric had a basketball game last night vs. Cary Christian. They ended up loosing after have one foul out, 2 getting hurt and one getting kicked out of the game. We had be beaten them by one point last time we played them, but lost by 20 points in the end:-( I keep the score book for their games, it's pretty fun but can get hectic at tims:-) They have a big game on Friday night and on Saturday morning, Jason has a game on Saturday afternoon, so my week is made up of ALOT of basketball!

Kelly and Me!

I play on the JV girls team, but am out for three weeks due to a hurt foot! I hurt it in a game about a month ago, and it would hurt every time I ran/jumped in a game and the pain was getting worse every game, so mom finally took me to the doctor where he looked at it, then sent us to another doctor where they took x-rays of my foot(My first x-ray!), then went to another doctor the next morning. He looked at the xrays and said he didn't think it was broken but wanted me to wear a "Boot" for three weeks and then come see him in 5 weeks. So It's been a week and the boot is more annoying then ever!!:-)I hope to be able to play the week after next.

Alex's Army Comisioning Ceramony/Collage Graduation

Alex had his Army commission toward the beginning of December. He is now a Officer. It was really nice. Grammy, Grandpa, and my cousin came down from Mass., so it was really nice to see them. They had a dinner for just the Army comisionies, where it was a more personal commission, Mom and Dad got to go up and pin on his gold bars, Alex gave his first solute, gave the Oath of Honor, all the officers got to make a short speech, and they had acouple different speakers. The next morning, we got up early and headed over to NC State for Alexs' Collage Graduation. It was pretty big, but it was good. Then that afternoon we went to another commissioning ceremony for all the branches of the Military together. That was also a nice ceremony. They had each branch come up and give the oath of honor. and they had couple different speakers.

Sorry I didn't post that much this past month. It's has bean really crazy here!
